About the role:
This is not your typical laboratory position. This is a hands-on role in a warehouse environment, not a traditional lab position.
You'll work with a wide range of industrial chemicals, learning from experienced chemists and operators. Your main focus will be safely identifying, classifying and preparing chemicals for treatment.
We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and a genuine willingness to learn. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Duties:
Sort and classify incoming packaged chemical waste
Assist with identifying unknown chemicals through testing procedures
Safely handle, decant and prepare chemicals for disposal
Pack laboratory chemicals for destruction
Work closely with operators, drivers and site personnel to ensure safe chemical handling
Follow strict safety procedures and wear PPE including respirators, chemical suits and face shields where required
Assist with general warehouse and manual handling duties
Skills & experience:
Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
Comfortable working in PPE and a warehouse environment
Physically capable of manual handling tasks
Previous warehouse, manufacturing, retail or hospitality experience and forklift license will be highly regarded




Knowledge of safe chemical handling is advantageous but not essential
