Job Description
About the Role:
GPA Engineering is seeking a Network Administrator to support, maintain, and continually improve our enterprise network and security infrastructure across multiple sites. Working with the internal IT team, you will keep the corporate network secure, high-performing, and highly available.
Key Duties
Administer Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls (physical and virtual) through Panorama, including security policies, application and user-based controls, web filtering, NAT, and site-to-site and remote access VPN.
Maintain and tune the software-defined WAN — traffic policy optimisation, performance troubleshooting, ISP transitions, office relocations, and infrastructure refresh projects.
Administer the enterprise switching, wireless, and cellular/WAN failover environments, including routing, VLANs, layer 2 resilience, link aggregation, enterprise and guest wireless, and branch connectivity.
Configure and maintain core network services: DNS, DHCP, certificate services, and network authentication.
Perform firmware upgrades, security patching, licensing, and routine maintenance across all network platforms,
and monitor network health and performance using enterprise and cloud-based tools.
Respond to network incidents, perform root cause analysis, and maintain accurate documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Implement and maintain network security controls aligned to our certified Information Security Management System, and contribute to infrastructure and continuous improvement projects.

We are seeking a reliable, adaptable professional who thrives in a collaborative team environment. To be successful in this role, you will bring the following essential skills and experience:
Demonstrated experience administering enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites.
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls and Panorama.
Strong grounding in network fundamentals — TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, VPN and tunnelling, and network security principles.
Experience supporting enterprise wireless networking and wireless security.
Strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to prioritise and work independently, and clear written and verbal communication.
Palo Alto Panorama SD-WAN deployments; PCNSA, PCNSE, or equivalent certifications.
Microsoft server and identity infrastructure (directory services, cloud identity, certificate services, virtualisation, clustering).
Cloud-based network management, infrastructure automation, and endpoint protection / threat detection platforms.
A requirement for this role is to complete a satisfactory Australian police clearance.
