The Role
Harrisdale SHS is seeking a passionate, innovative and highly effective Digital Futures Technologies Teacher to inspire students and prepare them for a world increasingly shaped by technology. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who can engage students in computer science, coding, robotics and digital technologies while developing creativity, computational thinking and problem-solving skills.
The successful applicant will ideally have experience teaching Digital Technologies across Years 7 to 12, with expertise in computer science, programming, software development, robotics, digital systems and emerging technologies. The ability to connect curriculum to contemporary applications, including artificial intelligence and automation, will be highly regarded. The capacity to teach ATAR Computer Science and/or ATAR Applied Information Technology is highly desirable, along with strong curriculum knowledge, assessment expertise and high-impact teaching practices that support outstanding student achievement in senior secondary pathways.
Displays expertise in Digital Technologies, computer science, programming and emerging technologies.
Delivers engaging programs that develop creativity, computational thinking and problem-solving.
Has the capacity to teach ATAR Computer Science and/or ATAR Applied Information Technology.
Applies high-impact teaching practices aligned with the THINK, RISE, EXCEL framework.
Connects learning to contemporary technologies and future pathways.
Uses assessment, feedback and data to improve student achievement.
Contributes innovative ideas and maintains contemporary industry knowledge.
Builds positive relationships and contributes to a collaborative team culture.
Models the school's values of Care, Respect, Responsibility and Excellence.
This position sits within our Future Technologies learning area and offers an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of Digital Technologies at Harrisdale SHS. The successful applicant will contribute to curriculum development, assessment and moderation across Years 7 to 12, while supporting enrichment programs in robotics, coding, automation, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
