Our client is delivering one of the most significant technology transformation programmes within NSW, focused on modernising critical policing and operational capabilities. With substantial investment in digital platforms, data, analytics and enterprise technologies, they are seeking an experienced Solution Architect (Integration) to play a key role in shaping the future-state technology landscape.
This is a highly visible programme operating at enterprise scale, offering the opportunity to work alongside senior technology leaders on complex integration challenges across cloud, SaaS, data and operational systems.
About the Role
As the Solution Architect (Integration), you will be responsible for designing and governing integration architectures across a major business transformation programme. You will work closely with project teams, solution architects, developers, vendors and business stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure and reliable integration solutions are delivered.
Key responsibilities include:
Producing end-to-end integration architecture designs and roadmaps
Defining API, messaging and event-driven integration patterns
Developing Solution Architecture Documents (SADs), Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs)
Providing technical leadership and architectural guidance to project delivery teams
Ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, cyber security requirements and strategic technology objectives
Engaging with vendors and external partners to support successful solution delivery




Supporting the implementation of modern integration capabilities across complex enterprise environments
The Successful Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Integration Architect or Solution Architect with a proven background delivering enterprise-scale integration solutions within large and complex environments.
You will bring experience across:
Integration architecture and solution design
MuleSoft or similar iPaaS platforms
API-led connectivity and enterprise integration patterns
Event-driven architecture and messaging technologies
REST APIs, JSON, ESB and ETL frameworks
Kafka, Confluent or similar event streaming technologies
IBM MQ, Azure Integration Services, AWS Integration Services or equivalent platforms
DevSecOps and CI/CD delivery environments
Stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical audiences
Large-scale transformation programmes, ideally within government or other highly regulated environments
You will also possess solid communication skills, excellent stakeholder management capabilities and the ability to influence outcomes across complex delivery environments.
