The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and committed Early Childhood Teacher who is passionate about improving outcomes for all students and who understands the critical role that relationships, consistency and high expectations play in student success.
Implement whole-school programs, instructional frameworks, policies and agreed practices with fidelity to ensure consistency of teaching and learning across the school.
Build strong, positive and authentic relationships with students, families, colleagues and the broader community.
Create secure, inclusive and culturally responsive learning environments where every student is known, valued and supported to succeed.
Apply trauma-informed practices that recognise and respond to the diverse social, emotional and behavioural needs of students.
Utilise restorative approaches to strengthen relationships, repair harm and support student accountability and growth.
Maintain an unwavering belief in the capacity of every student to succeed, demonstrating unconditional positive regard while holding students to high expectations.
Differentiate curriculum, instruction and assessment to meet the diverse learning, behavioural and engagement needs of all students.
Effectively manage complex classroom environments, including supporting students who may present with significant behavioural,
social-emotional or regulation challenges.
Use evidence-informed behaviour support strategies to establish predictable routines, maximise student engagement and promote positive learning behaviours.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to plan, implement and monitor targeted interventions that improve student outcomes.
Reflect on practice, seek feedback and engage in ongoing professional growth to enhance teaching effectiveness.

Teachers and school administrators employed at Carnarvon Community College in **** are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $***** (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment. The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.

consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
