The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Cyber Security Analyst
to support security monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, and security operations. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern cybersecurity tools while supporting a secure digital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor security alerts, events, and potential threats.
Investigate suspicious activities and security incidents.
Assist with incident response, investigation, and documentation.
Review security logs and identify unusual patterns or behaviors.
Support vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation activities.
Assist with endpoint, network, cloud, and application security monitoring.
Maintain accurate security records, incident reports, and documentation.
Support access-control reviews and user-permission management.
Assist with security assessments and risk-analysis activities.
Monitor threat intelligence and emerging cybersecurity risks.
Support security awareness and internal security initiatives.
Work with IT, Infrastructure, Development, and Operations teams.
Assist with security policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Recommend improvements to security monitoring and operational processes.
Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles, network security, access control, and common threats.
Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability-scanning, or security-monitoring tools is advantageous.
Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs,
and network security concepts.
Familiarity with Windows, Linux, cloud environments, and security technologies is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong ability to investigate and document technical issues.
Willingness to learn recent security tools and technologies.
Professional, proactive, and security-conscious mindset.
Australian work eligibility is required.
Requirements
