Lead, mentor and develop a team of payroll professionals
Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for a large and complex workforce
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and internal policies
Manage complex payroll calculations including shift penalties, overtime, allowances and leave entitlements
Act as the senior escalation point for payroll-related queries
Partner closely with workforce management and rostering teams to ensure accurate payroll data flow
Support internal and external audits and compliance activities
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll processes and system efficiencies
Foster a high-performance, customer-focused and collaborative team culture
Previous experience leading or supervising a payroll team
Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge within a large or complex organisation
Experience interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to prioritise workloads and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
A proactive mindset with a passion for process improvement
