Role Description
The Trainer and Assessor role is a full-time, on-site position located in the Greater Perth Area. The role involves planning, delivering, and assessing accredited and non-accredited training programs focused on driver safety, compliance, and risk management.
Day-to-day tasks include preparing training materials, facilitating classroom and practical sessions, conducting competency-based assessments, and providing constructive feedback to participants.
The Trainer and Assessor will maintain accurate training records, ensure compliance with RTO standards and regulatory requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement of course content.
The role also includes liaising with corporate clients, supporting participants with diverse learning needs, and promoting a robust safety culture within the road transport industry.
Qualifications
Recognition as a qualified Trainer and Assessor, ideally holding Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent.
Experience delivering vocational education and training, preferably within transport, logistics, or driver safety environments.
Strong understanding of road safety principles, risk management, and relevant transport legislation and industry standards.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage adult learners in both classroom and practical settings.
Ability to conduct fair and consistent competency-based assessments and maintain detailed, compliant training records.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple courses, cohorts, and client requirements.
Proficiency with basic digital tools for training delivery, record keeping, and reporting (e.g., LMS platforms, MS Office).
Current driver's licence and a safe driving record; experience as a professional driver or in transport operations is an advantage.
