About the role
As theAssistant Supervisor at Tumby Bay, you'll be a key leader helpingto drive the success of one of our essential grain-handling siteson the Eyre Peninsula. This role blends hands-on operational workwith strategic coordination and team leadership - making it idealfor someone who enjoys variety, challenge, and real-worldimpact.
With thesupport and guidance of the Operations Supervisor you will lead adiverse team of permanent and seasonal employees. From overseeinggrain receival and storage during the peak of harvest, to managingoutloading logistics and grain quality throughout the year, you'llbe involved in every aspect of the supply chain.
This is arole where you'll be expected to lead from the front. Whetheryou're mentoring a seasonal worker or stepping in to help with atechnical issue, your influence will shape both the culture andperformance of the site.
Duties
Willingness and ability to travel between Tumby Group sites - Arno Bay and PortNeill as required.
Lead and supervise daily operations across the Tumby Bay group, ensuring all grain receival, storage, and outloading activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to a highstandard.
Support theSupervisor in planning and delivering operational targets, including logistics coordination and workforceplanning.
Coach and mentor a team of permanent and seasonal staff,



promoting a culture ofsafety, accountability, and high performance.
Collaborate with keystakeholders including growers, carriers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth and professional servicedelivery.
Champion safety onsite by conducting checks, reporting hazards, supportinginvestigations, and maintaining compliance with Bunge's safetypolicies.
Operate and overseegrain-handling equipment, support preventative maintenance, andescalate mechanical or infrastructure issues asneeded.
Assist with planningfor harvest operations, including site preparation, intakecoordination, staff training, and storage capacitymanagement.
Contribute tocontinuous improvement by maintaining site records, participating in audits, and sharing insights to driveperformance and efficiency.
Aboutyou
Prove experience inoperations, ideally within grain handling, logistics, agriculture, or a similar industry.
Experience withleading or supervising large teams - hands-on, practicalapproach with the ability to lead by example.
Strong focus onsafety, compliance, and operational best practices.
Effectivecommunicator with strong interpersonal skills to manage teamsand build relationships.
Skilled in planning,coordinating, and prioritising tasks in a dynamic, seasonalenvironment.
Confidentproblem-solver with sound decision-makingabilities.
Motivated,adaptable,



and ready to take ownership of a key site in thesupply chain.
Tech-savvy andcomfortable using operational and reportingsystems.
