Job Description
Are you an experienced Construction Supervisor with a passion for delivering secure, high-quality infrastructure projects? Thiess is seeking an experienced and motivated NPI Project Supervisor to join our high-performing team at the Eva Copper Mine Project, in the Cloncurry region of Queensland, Australia.
As a key member of the Eva Copper Alliance team, you'll be responsible for supervising subcontractors and coordinating the safe, efficient execution of Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) construction works, ensuring delivery to schedule, specification and quality requirements while maintaining a strong safety culture.
Lead and promote a strong health, safety and environmental culture across all work activities.
Coordinate labour, plant, equipment and subcontractors across multiple construction work fronts.
Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, site procedures and quality requirements.

The Eva Copper Mine Project is located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People in North West Queensland, approximately 75 km north-west of Cloncurry and about 95 km north-east of Mount Isa.




The Project is an iron-oxide copper-gold resource featuring multiple open pits and is poised to become the largest greenfield copper mine in Queensland.
About The Candidate
Relevant trade qualification or equivalent industry experience, with a minimum of 5 years' supervisory experience within mining, construction or major infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, safety legislation and contractor management, supported by excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong understanding of health and safety legislation, quality requirements and construction methodologies.
Demonstrated experience leading subcontractors and diverse work teams.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Effective planning, organisation and problem-solving capabilities.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
Current Australian Driver Licence and White Card.
G2 Risk Management and/or G3 Establish and Maintain Risk Management certification highly regarded.
Experience working within client-contractor or alliance delivery environments highly regarded.
Experience managing procurement activities and supplier engagement highly regarded.
