About the role

Cook with a purpose - your work directly supports the training and wellbeing of Tasmania Police and Emergency Services personnel.

Showcase your skills in a dynamic commercial kitchen - take an active role in menu creation, large scale food production and maintaining exceptional food quality standards.

This is a hands-on role where teamwork, customer focus, and a commitment to excellence are highly valued.

You will

Prepare and present food in accordance with approved menus, recipes and quality standards.
Actively participate in and contribute to the organisations Work Health and Safety processes, including the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives and related training, ensuring that quality and safety improvement processes are in place and acted upon.
Carry out a range of food preparation duties to support the timely delivery of high-quality meals.

Pre-employment requirements

Any relevant serious criminal offence or repeated serious offences over any period, which are not mitigated by additional information, may provide grounds for declining an application for appointment.
Such offences would include, but are not limited to:





arson and fire setting
sexual offences
dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud)
deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception)
making false declarations
violent crimes and crimes against the person
malicious damage and destruction to property
trafficking of narcotic substance
false alarm raising.

Desirable requirements

Knowledge and expertise consistent with qualifications recognised at Certificate 3 and 4 or equivalent level.
