Role description
Our Highways & Civil Engineering team are looking for talented Civil Engineers to join our well established, industry‐leading Civil Infrastructure business in Western Australia. You will work with our other specialists to deliver our strong and growing pipeline of significant infrastructure projects, including highways, rail, energy transition, ports and airports projects. This is a Perth/Western Australia based role that will cater for projects locally and assist on major national infrastructure projects.
Role accountabilities
Deliver Technical Excellence: Provide civil engineering advice and apply advanced technical skills to produce high‐quality designs for infrastructure projects.
Ensure Quality and Compliance: Perform detailed analysis and design tasks in alignment with relevant technical standards, client requirements, and Arcadis' quality and assurance processes.
Collaborate Across Disciplines: Engage proactively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and multidisciplinary contributors to ensure coordinated, timely, and high‐quality project delivery.
Drive Project and Team Success: Contribute to the commercial and operational success of projects by applying sound project management principles, meeting deliverables, and fostering a collaborative, high‐performing team environment.
Champion Innovation and Safety: Assist in the development and integration of BIM and digital engineering practices,
supporting sustainable design solutions and improved health and safety outcomes across infrastructure projects.
Qualification & Experience
3+ years of hands‐on design experience in highways and infrastructure projects, ideally within the Western Australia market.
Experience on Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) road projects, which will be highly regarded.
A Master's/Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, and a commitment to career development, ideally working towards Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accreditation.
Strong knowledge of local design standards including the Austroads Guide to Road Design (AGRD) and MRWA Supplements, with the ability to apply these effectively in real‐world contexts.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and exposure to industry‐standard road design software such as OpenRoads, 12d or Civil 3D.
Experience collaborating within multi‐disciplinary design teams, contributing to integrated, high‐quality project outcomes.
Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic, fast‐paced project environment.
A natural strength in communications and coordination of multiple disciplines to play a central role in multi‐disciplinary projects.
