About Us
Rosebank College has a proud and varied history of over 150 years as part of the Good Samaritan family established in ****, and belonging to the Benedictine spiritual and educational tradition founded by St Benedict in the 4th century. The College belongs to the community of ten schools across Australia called Good Samaritan Education (GSE). About the Role
Rosebank College invites applications for the position of Religious Education / History Teacher to join our highly collaborative teaching community in a temporary full-time (1.0 FTE) position for the **** school year.
This position has become available to cover for a staff member who is undertaking an approved 12-month flexible working arrangement.
The successful applicant will commence in Term 1, **** and teach Religious Education and History across a range of year levels.
We are seeking an engaging, knowledgeable and highly effective educator with the ability to teach Religious Education and History across Stages 4 and 5. Experience and capacity to teach Stage 6 Religious Education would be highly regarded, as would the capacity to contribute to Stage 6 History.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively across the Religious Education and History faculties, contributing to curriculum development, student achievement, faith formation and the broader life of the College.
Our faculties foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and evidence-informed teaching practice. Rosebank College provides strong professional learning and mentoring opportunities to support teachers throughout their skilled journey.
All teaching staff are expected to contribute to the pastoral care of students, demonstrate a commitment to the ideals and ethos of Catholic education, and participate in the co-curricular and community life of the College.
Applicants must be excellent classroom practitioners, committed to the care and wellbeing of students, collaborative team members and confident in integrating contemporary pedagogical practices and educational technologies into their teaching.

To be considered for this position, applicants must demonstrate:
Experience as an effective, innovative and engaging teacher of Religious Education and History
Ability to teach Religious Education across Stages 4 and 5
Ability to teach History across Stages 4 and 5
Capacity and/or experience teaching Stage 6 Religious Education, which would be highly regarded
Capacity and/or experience teaching Stage 6 History, which would be highly regarded
Sound knowledge and understanding of current NESA syllabuses and curriculum requirements
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across the Religious Education and History faculties
Commitment to contemporary, evidence-informed teaching practices that promote academic excellence
Ability to use student data effectively to differentiate curriculum and address the learning needs of all students
Commitment to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
Demonstrated ability to integrate technology effectively into teaching, learning and planning
Strong interpersonal and communication skills when working with students, parents and colleagues
Current NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW
A current Working with Children Check
Commitment to child safeguarding principles and practices
Willingness to actively support the Catholic ethos and Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition of the College
Commitment to supporting the College's Pastoral Care Program, including Home Room responsibilities
Willingness to contribute to the broader co-curricular and community life of the College
