Gas pipeline advisory role for an industry expert looking to work fractionally as a consultant SME
Your new company
This advisory role has responsibility for providing expert technical and commercial input for CAPEX and OPEX assessments across a portfolio of gas transmission and distribution assets in the Eastern region.
The remit spans engineering, project proposals, operations and maintenance of assets, applying a risk-based approach to assurance and integrity, ensuring optimised commercial outcomes are delivered for the market.
Your recent role
Providing advice on the technical and economic regulation of gas network services; Validation of assumptions and methodologies used to derive cost estimates for forecast expenditures and, where applicable, amortisation schedules; Assurance that proposed project submissions meet the requirements and obligations of the National Gas Rules; Review of the historical performance of CAPEX delivery and submissions against industry NORMs to garner lessons learned and mitigate risks.
What you'll need to succeed
Background of deep technical and/or project delivery experience in pipeline engineering;Recent gas pipeline industry experience in Australias eastern region, in an advisory, management, or operations & maintenance leadership position;Commercial understanding of CAPEX and OPEX submissions as it relates to tariffs pursuant to the National Gas Rules What you'll get in return Opportunity to leverage industry experience in an advisory capacity, working across the complete value chain;Hybrid ways of working with a variable workload that would ideally suit an experienced consultant/advisor.
