Your new role:

As the Clinical Nurse Consultant – Quality Improvement/Business Practice Improvement Officer (BPIO), you will combine advanced Emergency nursing expertise with quality improvement, data analysis and clinical leadership to support safer, more efficient and patient-centred care. Working closely with the Emergency Department leadership team and multidisciplinary stakeholders, you will identify opportunities for improvement, monitor performance and lead initiatives that enhance patient flow, access and outcomes.

- Lead quality improvement, clinical redesign and business practice initiatives across the Emergency Department.
- Analyse and interpret performance and activity data to identify opportunities to improve patient flow, access and outcomes.
- Coordinate and support the ED Data Optimisation team, ensuring data quality, integrity and Activity Based Funding requirements are maintained.
- Provide expert clinical leadership, education and mentoring while supporting accreditation, governance, risk management and compliance with quality standards.

About you:

You are an experienced Emergency nurse and clinical leader who can confidently combine advanced clinical knowledge with data-driven quality improvement and service redesign. You will bring strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence positive change across a complex multidisciplinary environment.

- Registered Nurse with advanced Emergency nursing knowledge, skills and experience, including extensive specialist experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement, clinical redesign and performance improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills,



with the ability to use data to identify improvement opportunities and achieve performance targets.
- Proven ability to lead, educate, mentor and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while building a positive culture of continuous improvement.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
