An established and growing insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced Domestic Insurance Broker to join its Melbourne team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of an existing portfolio of domestic clients, build strong long-term relationships and provide high-quality advice across a range of personal insurance products.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your own portfolio, providing end-to-end broking support and ensuring clients receive a high level of service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing an established portfolio of domestic insurance clients
- Handling renewals, endorsements, new business and policy enquiries
- Providing advice across Home & Contents, Motor, Landlords and other personal insurance products
- Reviewing client requirements and identifying appropriate coverage
- Liaising and negotiating with insurers on behalf of clients
- Supporting clients throughout the claims process
- Developing strong, long-term client relationships
- Identifying opportunities for retention, referrals and portfolio growth
- Maintaining accurate client records and meeting compliance requirements
About You
- Previous experience within domestic/personal lines insurance broking
- Tier 1 or Tier 2 qualification highly regarded
- Strong knowledge of domestic insurance products and insurer markets
- Confident managing your own portfolio and client relationships
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisation
- Comfortable working autonomously while contributing to a team-oriented team
