Cherbourg Hospital in Queensland is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department on a four-week contract from 21 September to 18 October 2026. This is a full time role at NRG 5 level, offering $58.95 to $76.20 per hour for up to 80 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate will bring emergency nursing expertise to a rural healthcare setting, with travel costs from Brisbane capped at $200 each way.

Preferred Requirements





- Demonstrated emergency nursing experience with proven triage competency
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Cannulation skills and experience working in rural or remote healthcare settings
- Team leader experience and the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Flexibility to work variable shifts as required by the emergency department roster

Preferred Qualifications

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated competency in emergency nursing
- Additional training in rural and remote health practice is highly valued
