Position Title: Allied Health Assistant – Grade 2

Classification: IN29

Salary per hour: $32.91 + superannuation + generous salary packaging options

Employment Type: Ongoing part-time 48 hours per fortnight

Award: Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise agreement 2021 - 2026

Role description

Dhelkaya Health is seeking a motivated and compassionate Grade 2 Allied Health Assistant (AHA) to join our multidisciplinary team. Working under the supervision and delegation of Allied Health Professionals, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality therapy and wellbeing programs across a range of healthcare settings.

In this varied role, you will work with patients, residents and community clients across acute and subacute services, the Transition Care Program, home-based services, residential aged care, and community programs. You will assist in the implementation of therapeutic programs designed by Allied Health Professionals, helping clients achieve their health, rehabilitation and independence goals.

Your responsibilities may include supporting physiotherapy strengthening programs, facilitating movement and exercise groups in residential aged care, assisting with speech therapy, dietetics and occupational therapy interventions, supporting activities of daily living, and contributing to group-based programs such as the Connolly Unit Breakfast Group. You will also assist with other therapeutic and recreational activities that promote wellbeing and engagement.

Based primarily at our Castlemaine campus, this role offers variety and flexibility, with opportunities to work across other Dhelkaya Health sites, community settings and clients' homes as required.

About you

Essential

Must meet one of the following qualification requirements:

- Holds an Allied Health Assistant Qualification (which may include: Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance,

Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, or equivalent qualification from a Registered Training Organisation)




- Has completed a minimium of 80 hours of clinical placement experience

Required for all incumbents:
- Current driver licence

Desirable

- Experience working in rehabilitation and community settings
