Conditions: Prepare to be challenged and fascinated whilst working in this complex and stunning setting! Primary Health Care, including Preventative Medicine, Mental Health Support and Chronic Disease Management, is led by the Aboriginal Health Workers, with support from non-indigenous Nurses and other Health Professionals. In rare instances, you may be called upon after hours however your working week will generally be 8am – 430pm Monday to Friday. Communicare software is used and you will spend time in Darwin or Gove for orientation before flying to community. The health services here are an integral part of the community and the service is a community led initiative by and for the Yolgnu people. The majority of the Health staff are local indigenous people and they are always happy to assist and advise in the provision of appropriate care for the community.
Credentials: FRACGP/FACRRM, Specialist Registration with AHPRA. NCRC and NT WWCC required.
