The Opportunity
We are working closely with a major cross-border regional health service and are keen to connect with Consultant Haematologists interested in a specialist role within an established cancer program. This opportunity offers broad scope across malignant and non-malignant haematology, outpatient care, chemotherapy support, multidisciplinary cancer management and service development within a substantial regional referral environment. The health service is the major provider for its region, and its cancer services include specialist haematology alongside medical oncology.
The role is well suited to Fellowship-trained Haematologists seeking a position that combines clinical variety, meaningful regional impact and strong multidisciplinary engagement. Public service information also highlights a long-established specialist practice dedicated to malignant disease and non-malignant haematology disorders, with a commitment to clinical trials and improved regional cancer outcomes.

The Hospital
This substantial regional health service provides comprehensive medical infrastructure across a broad catchment and supports an integrated cancer service model. The regional cancer centre includes 30 inpatient beds, a 28-chair day chemotherapy ward, three radiotherapy bunkers, 17 consulting rooms, on-site pharmacy and supportive care infrastructure, creating a strong platform for consultant haematology practice.

Requirements

- Eligible for registration with AHPRA
- Fellowship of the RACP and FRCPA in Haematology, or equivalent specialist qualification
- Experience across malignant and non-malignant haematology, outpatient care and multidisciplinary cancer management
- Interest in service development, quality improvement and collaborative consultant practice
- International Medical Graduates assessed as substantially comparable, or preparing for specialist assessment, are encouraged to apply
