Job Description:
Your opportunity
You'll be joining a growing, international organisation where the finance team works closely together, supports one another, and takes pride in delivering high-quality reporting. The culture is genuinely collaborative, the environment is stable, and you'll receive training and development.
You'll work closely with an experienced Finance team with daily engagement with a great FC and strong CFO. They will provide you with guidance and exposure across both management and statutory reporting, and they're keen to see you develop into a well-rounded professional. You'll get exposure to all of finance rather than be siloed in your learning.
The business offers on-site parking, flexible start and finish times, and a team workplace where people are trusted to get their work done.
If you're someone who enjoys learning, improving systems, and understanding the "why" behind the numbers, this role will give you that opportunity.
What you'll be doing
This role will provide support across a broad range of financial reporting and operational accounting activities including:
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, reporting packs and variance analysis
- Supporting quarterly and year-end statutory reporting under IFRS and overseas listing requirements
- Preparing general ledger journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with tax compliance including BAS, PAYG, FBT and payroll tax
- Preparing bank reconciliations and supporting cashflow monitoring
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
- Contributing to system improvements and finance process enhancements
About you
You'll be a clear communicator with a willingness and desire to grow your career.
You will bring:
- A degree in Accounting, Commerce or similar
- 3-5 years' experience in an accounting or assistant accountant role
- Progress towards CA or CPA qualification
- Experience of performing month-end duties
- Strong Excel and accounting systems skills (Xero, MYOB Advanced or similar)
- High attention to detail with strong reconciliation and analytical ability
- A proactive and collaborative mindset
