Join our ICU team as a Data Manager, responsible for collecting, validating and analysing critical care data, including submissions to the ANZICS CORE and Critical Care Resources (CCR) databases. You'll provide meaningful data for morbidity and mortality meetings, annual ICU reporting, audits, research and quality improvement initiatives.

We're seeking someone with strong data analytics and Excel skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and communicate complex ICU clinical information. A medical, nursing or allied health background is highly desirable, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clinicians, researchers and external stakeholders.

Where you'll be working

Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Service is a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital with an inpatient bed base of 370. Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units. POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year, including cutting-edge virtual models of care. We have transitioned the majority of inpatient units and wards to the Acute Services Building (ASB) including a state of the art Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit.

Selection criteria * Relevant tertiary qualifications in allied health or nursing, or equivalent work experience in medical research and data collection, or a combination of study and work experience.

- Proven ability to collect, manage, validate, and analyse complex clinical data within a healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to enhance staff performance, influence workplace culture, and lead change.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional standards, including relevant professional registration or membership where applicable (e.g., AHPRA registration for clinically qualified applicants, Good Clinical Practice certification, and/or membership with recognised research, health information, or data governance organisations).
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly to clinicians, researchers, executives, and external bodies.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including ICU staff, research offices, and data governance units.
- Excellent organisational and digital skills, including managing competing priorities, meeting deadlines, and using electronic data capture systems,



electronic medical records, and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with ICU workflows, electronic medical records systems (like ERIC and eMR) and experience working with ICU datasets (e.g., ANZICS CORE, internal ICU databases, EMR data extraction).
