Your new role:

As a Registered Nurse in our Intensive Care Unit, you will deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred care to critically ill adult patients, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve the best possible outcomes. You will:

- Provide comprehensive nursing care through effective assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, applying critical thinking and sound clinical judgement.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a newly commissioned Level 4 ICU/HDU, caring for critically ill adults and supporting clinical care across the hospital through the 24/7 Clinical Outreach service.
- Contribute to quality improvement, evidence-based practice, clinical audits and initiatives that strengthen patient safety and service outcomes.
- Develop your clinical capability through lifelong learning, mentoring, education, reflective practice and exposure to intensive care patient management

About you:

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse who brings strong clinical capability, a commitment to learning and a genuine passion for delivering excellence in intensive care nursing.

- You are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse and demonstrate sound clinical knowledge and competence in intensive care nursing practice.
- You deliver high-quality, person-centred care and can confidently assess, prioritise, implement and evaluate care in a complex clinical workplace.
- You value collaboration and demonstrate empathy, integrity and respect when working with patients, families, carers and colleagues.
- You are committed to ongoing professional development,



evidence-based practice and building your knowledge and skills in intensive care patient management.

Unit Profile

The combined Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / High Dependency Unit (HDU) is a newly commissioned service that opened in late 2025 and is established under the Clinical Services Capability Framework (CSCF) as a level 4 ICU. The ICU/HDU provides specialist clinical care to critically ill adult in-patients at Redlands Hospital and will also supports ICU Services in Metro South Health Service area. The Clinical Outreach team operates out of the ICU on a 24/7 basis and provide specialist clinical care and support for in-hospital resuscitation, patients experiencing clinical deterioration and provide support to staff within the general hospital precinct.
