Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their Bendigo team
Your current company
Our Client is a well-established advisory firm that provides integrated business, accounting and advisory services to a diverse range of clients. Known for their personalised approach and strong client relationships, they partner with businesses and individuals to help them achieve their financial and business goals. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their Bendigo team on a full-time ongoing basis.
Your new role
Reporting to the leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality bookkeeping and payroll services across a portfolio of small to medium-sized clients. This is a varied and client-facing position that offers the opportunity to build strong relationships while supporting the financial operations of multiple businesses.
Your responsibilities will include:
- End-to-end payroll processing, including superannuation lodgements
- STP reporting and end-of-year payroll processing
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining cash flow records
- Processing client payments as requested
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to clients
- Assisting with bookkeeping duties across a diverse client portfolio
- Supporting the setup and upgrade of accounting files within Xero, MYOB and Reckon
- Responding to client enquiries and maintaining professional relationships
- Collaborating with internal team members to ensure exceptional service delivery
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping position
- Strong payroll processing knowledge and experience
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- A professional and proactive approach
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- A collaborative team-focused attitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with the following systems will be highly regarded:
- Xero, including Practice Manager
- Intuit QuickBooks
- Adobe Acrobat
- Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint
