The Role

We are looking for an experienced Sommelier to join the Rockpool & Spice team and work alongside a passionate group of wine professionals.

You will play an important role in delivering an exceptional beverage experience, engaging confidently with guests, providing thoughtful wine recommendations and contributing to the continued development of our wine and beverage program.

This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about wine and hospitality and wants to continue developing their knowledge, service skills and career within a leading Australian restaurant group.

We are offering both full time and casual positions to suitable candidates.

What We’re Looking For

- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Sommelier within a premium dining environment.
- Wine Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Australian and international wines, with a genuine interest in continuing to expand your knowledge.
- Beverage Knowledge: Good understanding of spirits, beer and broader beverage offerings.
- Communication: Strong English communication skills and the ability to engage confidently and naturally with guests.
- Certification: WSET Level 3, CMS certification or equivalent wine qualifications are preferred.
- Passion: A genuine passion for food, wine and hospitality, with a strong desire to elevate the guest experience.
- Service: Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering knowledgeable, professional and personalised wine service.
- Development: A commitment to ongoing personal and professional growth within the wine industry.
- Team Player: The ability to work collaboratively with sommeliers, waitstaff, chefs and management to deliver seamless, high-quality service.
