Working alongside the Gorilla room educators, you will help create an inclusive learning environment where every child feels safe, supported and able to participate meaningfully in the program.
Key responsibilities
- Build protected, trusting and respectful relationships with children.
- Provide individualised support using a strengths-based approach.
- Support children's participation in play, learning experiences, routines and transitions.
- Work collaboratively with the Gorilla room team, families and service leaders.
- Assist with implementing inclusion strategies and individual support plans.
- Maintain active supervision and uphold child-safe practices.
- Contribute to an environment where every child feels valued, capable and included.
About you
- Hold at least a completed Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or a recognised equivalent qualification.
- Hold a current NSW Working with Children Check.
- Hold current First Aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis qualifications.
- Be patient, calm,
dependable and responsive to children's individual needs.
- Understand positive behaviour guidance and inclusive practices.
- Communicate effectively and work well as part of a team.
- Be available to work across Monday to Friday.
- Previous experience supporting children with additional needs is highly regarded.
