Location: Port Melbourne
Hours: Mondays to Thursdays, 10:00am – 4:30pm (with flexibility to take on additional days)
Employment Type: Part Time

Nexsus Marketing & Recruiting is a family-run business based in Port Melbourne, operating three Childcare Centres . Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper / Administration Assistant to join our team.

Working closely with our Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day bookkeeping, and assisting with administrative tasks within our growing business.

Skills & Experience

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior-level bookkeeping

- Exceptional reconciliation skills and strong financial accuracy

- Fast and accurate data entry skills

- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities





- Proficient experience using MYOB

- Experience with payroll processing (Childcare payroll experience an advantage)

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

- Professional, positive, and proactive attitude

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a small team

- Liaising with stakeholders, including suppliers, early years staff, Department of Education

- Highly organised with strong time management skills

- Team player with the ability to work autonomously

- Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office

Key Responsibilities

- Process accounts payable accurately and efficiently

- Complete monthly bank account and credit card reconciliations

- Reconcile supplier accounts and process payments

- Assist with month-end processes, including preparation and lodgment of monthly management accounts

- Prepare payroll and related reporting

- Provide support to the Accounts Manager as required

- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with general administration duties
