About Margaret River Vintners
Margaret River Vintners (MRV) is a large-scale winery in the Margaret River region, crushing up to 8,000 tonnes each year. We produce a diverse range of commercial and premium wines as part of Fogarty Hall Wine Estates which includes Evans & Tate, Deep Woods Estate, and Millbrook Winery, while also providing contract winemaking for a select client base.

Our winery is located approximately 20 minutes from Busselton and 30 minutes from Dunsborough & Margaret River. MRV is a great place to experience an Australian vintage while enjoying the Margaret River lifestyle.

The Roles
Vintage runs from January to April/May (approximately 10-12 weeks), with potential opportunities to continue through to June for select employees.

Work is fast-paced, physical and hands on with day, afternoon and night shifts, weekends and overtime.

Vintage Cellar Hands
We have opportunities across both our crush/press and general cellar operations.

Duties may include:

- Unloading/loading trucks
- Operating the crushers and presses
- Additions
- Cleaning bins, presses and tanks
- Filling and emptying red fermenters
- General crush and cellar duties.

Duties may include;

- Racking juice/wine
- Floating tanks
- Additions
- Wine/juice transfers and tanker loading/unloading
- Barrel work
- Pump overs
- General cellar hand duties.
- Operating equipment such as an RDV, centrifuge, and crossflow.

Previous laboratory, wine or vintage experience is highly desirable but not essential. Training will be provided.
Duties may include;

- Cellar sample collection
- Crushing vineyard grape samples and grape maturity analysis
- Daily juice, ferment, and wine analysis
- Recording and communicating analytical results
- General laboratory cleaning and housekeeping.

What We Are Looking For:

- A solid work ethic, reliability and team-first attitude
- Sufficient English skills to understand instructions and communicate effectively with the team
- Flexibility to work changing shifts, weekends and extended hours when required
- Physical fitness for active manual work,



including lifting up to 20kg
- Previous vintage or winery experience is highly desirable
- At least one completed vintage is preferred
- Current Australian forklift ticket is highly desirable

Important Information

Own reliable transport is essential. The winery is located outside the main townships and there is no regular public transport to the winery

Accommodation is not provided, and successful applicants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation for the duration of their employment

Work hours will vary depending on the position, vintage conditions, fruit intake and production requirements
