Due to expansion, EMJC are looking for a Workshop Leading Hand to join the team based in Karratha.
The position may be a FIFO or residential role.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake various mechanical repairs to earthmoving equipment, tooling and workshop assets
- Undertake on and off hire functions for incoming and outgoing plant
- Provide guidance, leadership and diagnostic support to other workshop staff
- Provide supervisory coverage in the absence of management
- Ensure accurate processing of all electronic workshop data to enable accurate job costing, service records and similar
- Assess and process purchasing requisitions for parts, consumables and similar
- Provide occasional diagnostic support
Essential skills
- Minimum 2 years industry experience with previous experience in a Leading Hand role
- Mechanical HD Mobile Plant Trade qualification
- Broad knowledge of earthmoving and heavy haulage equipment - Cat, Komatsu, Kenworth, Drake
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines.
- Solid understanding of WHS standards and requirements
- Strong computer skills utilising the Microsoft suite.
