The opportunity

We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Metallurgist to join our high-performing Processing Team at the Duketon South Operations. Reporting to the Metallurgy Superintendent, you will support both the Garden Well and Rosemont Processing Plants and working closely with Laboratory, Operational and Maintenance Teams to optimise plant performance, identify process improvement opportunities and ensure production targets are consistently achieved.

This role offers excellent exposure across multiple processing operations and will see you analyse metallurgical and operational data,



troubleshoot plant performance issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance plant efficiency and recovery.

This is a FIFO role (8:6 roster) from Perth.

Key Responsibilities

- Demonstrating safety leadership and promoting the Regis safety culture
- Daily monitoring, reviewing and reporting on lab assays, plant performance and key process indicators
- Analysing operational data and process trends to identify plant issues and improvement opportunities
- Identify and troubleshoot process and laboratory bottlenecks
- Managing continuous improvement projects
- Supporting the preparation of budgets, schedules and production forecasts
- Assisting the Senior Metallurgist with metallurgical test work programs and plant trials
- Preparing daily, weekly and monthly metallurgical reports
- Assisting with the supervision and management of the onsite laboratory and Metallurgy Technicians
- Collaborating with Geology, Processing, Maintenance and Laboratory teams to improve operational performance

About You

- A tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
- Demonstrated relevant metallurgical experience within gold mining operations.
- Sound knowledge and experience on comminution, CIL, and elution circuits.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational and metallurgical data




- Experience monitoring plant performance and identifying opportunities to improve process efficiency and recovery
- Working knowledge of metallurgical accounting systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and technical report writing skills
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary processing environment
