Project Manager / Senior Project Manager – Government

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to join a growing project management team delivering major Government construction projects across NSW.

This is an excellent chance for a proven construction PM to take ownership of complex projects, work closely with government stakeholders and delivery partners, and play a key role in successful project outcomes.

The Opportunity You will be responsible for managing projects from planning and procurement through to construction, commissioning and completion. You’ll work across a range of stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, consultants and other project partners.

A key requirement for this position is hands-on experience delivering Government construction projects under the GC21 contract.

Depending on your experience, the position will suit either an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of Government construction projects.
- Administer and manage GC21 contracts, including variations, claims, extensions of time, notices and contractual obligations.
- Manage project scope, programme, budget, risk, quality and procurement.
- Lead and coordinate consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Manage tendering, procurement and contractor engagement processes.
- Monitor construction progress and drive projects towards key milestones.
- Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues and opportunities.
- Prepare and manage project reporting, budgets, forecasts and programmes.
- Build strong relationships with government clients and key stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently,



commercially and to the required quality standards.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to project team members where appropriate.

About You You will be an experienced construction professional with a strong track record delivering Government projects in Australia.
You will ideally have:

- Significant experience in construction project management.
- Proven experience delivering projects for Government clients/agencies.
- Strong practical knowledge and experience administering GC21 contracts.
- Experience managing head contractors and consultant teams.
- Strong commercial, contractual and financial management skills.
- Excellent understanding of construction programmes, procurement and project controls.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The ability to lead projects with a high degree of autonomy.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
