Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist | Coastal Regional Referral Hospital | Victoria
The Opportunity
We are working closely with a coastal regional referral hospital in Victoria to connect with a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist for a full time appointment within an established women’s health and maternity service.
This position offers broad consultant practice across obstetrics, gynaecology and outpatient women’s health within a busy regional setting. It will suit a specialist seeking a strong mix of operative and non-operative work, meaningful clinical autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to contemporary women’s health care across a large south-west catchment. The role is particularly well suited to clinicians who value service ownership, practical multidisciplinary collaboration and the balance of regional scope with genuine coastal livability.
The Hospital
This health service is the leading public provider across Victoria’s south-west, operating two public hospitals and multiple community health centres while delivering more than 150 services across the region. Public reporting confirms it supports a population of around 110,000 people across Warrnambool, Moyne, Corangamite, Southern Grampians and Glenelg Shires. The women’s health and maternity service comprises 14 beds and 5 birthing suites across two campuses, with Warrnambool recording approximately 700 births per year. The base hospital is also undergoing a major $396.1 million redevelopment that will expand core acute infrastructure and strengthen the long-term capability of the service.

Requirements

- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG)
- Specialist Registration with AHPRA (or eligibility)
- International Medical Graduates assessed by RANZCOG as partially or substantially comparable
