Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist | Major Regional Referral Health Service | Victoria

The Opportunity
We are working closely with a major regional referral health service in northern Victoria to connect with a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist for a full-time appointment within an established women’s health service.
This position offers broad consultant practice across obstetrics, gynaecology and outpatient women’s health care within a busy regional referral setting. The role will suit a specialist seeking a strong mix of operative and non-operative practice, meaningful clinical autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to service development across a large regional catchment. It is particularly well suited to clinicians who value regional scale, genuine scope of practice and close multidisciplinary collaboration across maternity, perioperative and inpatient care.

The Hospital
This is the principal public health service for the Goulburn Valley, operating as a multi-campus service with its main campus delivering emergency, intensive care, surgical, medical, paediatric, obstetric and allied health services. Publicly available service information confirms a catchment of approximately 150,000 people extending across northern Victoria and into southern New South Wales. The women’s health service includes maternity care, antenatal clinics, gynaecology clinics and theatre-supported gynaecological procedures, with the maternity ward featuring 12 private rooms adjacent to birthing and special care nursery services. The service is also supported by major redevelopment investment across the broader hospital campus.

Requirements

- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG)
- Specialist Registration with AHPRA (or eligibility)
- International Medical Graduates assessed by RANZCOG as partially or substantially comparable
