Salary: $80,000 per annum plus superannuation

About the role

Café 63 Park Ridge is a busy suburban café serving breakfast, lunch, and all-day coffee to a high-volume local trade. Our recruitment partner is seeking an experienced Café Manager on behalf of the business to take day-to-day operational responsibility for the venue, lead the front-of-house team, and work alongside kitchen staff to deliver consistent quality and service.

Key duties and responsibilities

- Planning and organising the daily operation of the café, including opening and closing procedures
- Coordinating with suppliers to purchase and price goods in line with budget, and ensuring timely delivery of food, beverages and supplies
- Preparing staff rosters, managing shift coverage and controlling wage costs
- Recruiting, supervising, training and mentoring front-of-house staff to maintain excellent customer service standards
- Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure food quality, presentation and timely service




- Ensuring the dining area and facilities comply with food safety and health regulations and are clean, functional and well presented
- Maintaining stock records, conducting regular stocktakes and minimising wastage
- Handling cash registers and EFTPOS, reconciling daily takings and balancing sales
- Responding to customer feedback and resolving complaints
- Monitoring sales performance and contributing to menu, pricing and promotional decisions

Skills and experience required

- Relevant qualification in hospitality or business management (AQF Diploma or higher), or at least three years' relevant work experience in a café or restaurant management role
- Demonstrated experience supervising and rostering a front-of-house team
- Working knowledge of Queensland food safety and workplace health and safety requirements
- Experience with stock control, supplier negotiation and cash handling/reconciliation
- Strong communication and customer service skills, and fluent English
- Availability to work a rotating roster including early mornings, weekends and public holidays
