We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our thriving fabrication team at Tom's Fabrications in South Gladstone, QLD. As a Boilermaker, you will be responsible for the skilled construction, installation and repair of metal structures and components to the highest industry standards. This full-time role will see you playing a key part in the delivery of critical fabrication and engineering projects for our diverse range of clients.
What you'll be doing
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications to fabricate, assemble and install a variety of metal structures
- Operating welding equipment such as MIG, TIG and stick welders to join metal parts with high precision
- Performing maintenance, repair and modification work on existing metal structures and equipment
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with relevant safety standards and regulations
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
What we're looking for
- Formal trade qualification as a Boilermaker or similar metal fabrication discipline
- Experience in welding techniques
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work orders
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-based workplace
- Current forklift operating licence would be highly regarded
