Forbes St Vets is looking for a motivated Practice Manager to join our team and play a key role in the ongoing success of our veterinary practice.

We are a busy, professional and caring veterinary clinic where our patients and our clients are at the heart of what we do. We are looking for someone who can bring strong leadership, organisation and communication skills to help our team succeed in the delivery of exceptional patient care.

About the role

As Practice Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the practice, working closely with the Veterinary Director to support our veterinary and nursing team.

Your role will include:

- Leading, supporting and managing practice staff

- Staff rostering and day-to-day operational requirements

- Supporting staff performance, development and wellbeing

- Ensuring excellent communication across the team and with clients

- Financial administration, invoicing, accounts and monitoring practice performance

- Payroll administration and associated staff records

- Working with the director veterinarian on budgets, purchasing and business planning

- Maintaining and improving practice policies and procedures, ensure the practice operates efficiently and professionally

- Managing customer service, concerns and supporting excellent client communication

- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, efficiency and the client experience

- Ensuring workplace,



regulatory and practice requirements are appropriately managed

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

- An excellent communicator who can communicate clearly, respectfully and confidently with staff, clients and management

- Highly organised, with exceptional time-management and prioritisation skills

- A leader who can motivate, support and manage a diverse team

- Approachable, skilled and able to handle difficult conversations when required

- Calm and solutions-focused, particularly during busy or challenging periods

- Detail-oriented, reliable and accountable

Experience

Previous experience in staff management, practice management or a similar leadership/administrative role is highly desirable.

Veterinary industry experience is advantageous but not essential. We are more interested in finding the right person with strong leadership, organisational and people-management skills.
