Forty Winks is Australia's leading bedding retail specialist, with over 100 stores nationally and has been helping customers find their perfect bed for over 40 years. Our new Kyneton store is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant. As a Part Time Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and product knowledge and achieving sales results and KPIs targets.
What you'll be doing
1. Providing exceptional customer service that is genuine and caring, meeting the customer's needs.
2. Demonstrating extensive product knowledge to customers and making recommendations based on listening to their needs.
3. Processing sales transactions, purchase orders and general administration including finance and Qantas frequent flyers.
4. Maintaining the store's presentation and visual merchandising standards, including general housekeeping.
5. Assisting with inventory management and stock control as needed
6. Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting your colleagues as required
What we're looking for
1. Previous experience in retail, preferably within the home/bulky goods or bedding industry
2.
Minimum of 2+ years of retail or customer service experience is required
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and provide excellent service
4. A genuine interest in bedding and home furnishings and a passion for helping customers find the perfect sleep solution
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure
6. A versatile and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to work weekends and public holidays as required, and occasionally at multi store locations.
7. A positive, friendly, and team-oriented attitude
8. Must have Australian work rights
9. Must be 18+ years of age
