We are looking for an experienced Clinical Psychologist, or a Psychology Registrar interested in learning evidence-based therapy for trauma, to join our team in September. We deliver evidence-based trauma interventions to clients presenting with trauma, anxiety, depression, and a range of other concerns.

We are seeking someone who is interested in learning and delivering Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a strongly evidence-based trauma therapy with over 30 years of research backing. At the Centre for Clinical Psychology, we have trained over 1000 mental health professionals in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD – we know trauma therapy.
The Centre for Clinical Psychology has a strong clinical governance framework. We also provide a high level of professional administrative and practice management support. We do the administration so you don't have to.
THE ROLE:
This role includes training and professional development to become an accredited provider in Cognitive Processing Therapy, you will receive a generous package of training and supervision to support your growth and clinical confidence:
50+ hours of training in CPT which includes:
- Two days of CPT training for trauma therapy
- Weekly CPT/trauma group supervision
- 13 hours+ of online CPT training to reach provider status
- In addition you will receive individual supervision for trauma and non-trauma cases
- Access to our online library of over 25 hours of webinars and professional development. (We host regular online training for mental health professionals on a range of current topics in mental health)
This supervision / training package has a total value of $23,000 * (Based on a full-time registrar, 40 hours of supervision over 2 years).
The role is an employed position with the option to work Saturdays (paid at time and a half, which will mean you earn more than the advertised salary). Remuneration is based on experience and is above award rates.
The successful candidate will work from our offices in Carlton, a convenient location with easy access to public transport and parking.
For registered supervisors, there are also opportunities to provide supervision and be supported to extend your skills.
