About the role

NIIWA, our Japanese izakaya style venue is seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team in our Fortitude Valley location. This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our vibrant restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving business growth.

What you'll be doing

- Manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and budgeting

- Lead and motivate a team of front-of-house and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences

- Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall performance of the restaurant

- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service

- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations

- Liaise with suppliers and manage inventory to optimise costs and minimise waste

- Monitor customer feedback and implement continuous improvements to address any concerns

What we're looking for

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a restaurant management role, preferably within the hospitality industry

- Robust leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team





- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with customers, staff, and suppliers

- Proficient in inventory management, budgeting, and cost control

- Thorough knowledge of food safety, health, and licensing regulations

- Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
