About the role
A well-regarded independent school in Melbourne's north-west is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Latin teacher to join their team in a part-time (0.6 FTE) or Full time capacity.
This chance suits a passionate educator who can deliver engaging, rigorous Latin lessons and foster a love of classical languages and cultures.
Key responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Latin lessons aligned to the school's curriculum.
Differentiate learning to support a range of abilities and learning needs.
Use data to inform planning, assessment, and targeted feedback.
Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Maintain a positive, protected and inclusive learning environment in line with school policies.
Contribute to wider faculty and co-curricular activities where appropriate.
About you




Relevant teaching qualification and current VIT registration (or eligibility).
Proven experience teaching Latin (or a strong classical languages background with capacity to teach Latin).
Strong classroom practice and confidence teaching secondary students.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, qualified approach.
Commitment to child safety and the values/ethos of an independent school.
