Warehouse and Production Assistant/Forklift operatorOur client, a trusted manufacturer and distributor of coffins, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Assistant with a current LF forklift licence for a short-term assignment in Fairfield East.This is a physically active role involving the protected movement of large, bulky stock.
You will help prepare coffins for transport and load and unload them between the factory, trolleys and delivery trucks.
This is not a traditional pick-and-pack position.What you will be doingSafely moving and handling empty coffins and other large,



bulky stockLoading and unloading coffins onto and from delivery trucksUsing trolleys and other equipment to move stock around the factory and warehouseOperating a forklift when requiredPreparing and organising stock for deliveriesAssisting with workshop and warehouse clean-upCompleting general warehouse duties as directedWhat we are looking forPrevious experience loading and unloading trucksExperience safely handling heavy, oversized or bulky itemsGood physical fitness and confidence completing repetitive manual-handling tasksA practical, hands-on approach and willingness to assist wherever neededReliability, punctuality and a solid commitment to workplace safetyFull availability for the duration of the assignmentWhat's on offerImmediate startMonday to Friday, generally 7:00 am-3:30 pm, with some flexibilityInitial two-week casual assignment, with the possibility of extension depending on workload and suitabilityFairfield East locationPlease note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
