About the RoleOur client is a well-established structural steel fabrication and engineering business based in Rocklea, specialising in modular and prefabricated construction, is seeking a Production Estimator to join their Sales & Estimation team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced sales estimator, or someone at the start of their estimating career to build a long-term future in a supportive, team-oriented environment, working closely with senior estimators and reporting to the National Sales/Estimating Manager.You'll be part of a business that prides itself on genuine connection with customers, accountability, respect and a pursuit of excellence - and you'll be given the coaching and mentoring to grow your technical and commercial skills over time.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with quantity take-offs from drawings and specificationsSupport the preparation of cost estimates for labour, materials and subcontracted workRequest and compile supplier and subcontractor pricingEnter and maintain estimating data in spreadsheets and estimating softwareAssist with bid documentation,



submissions and post-tender clarificationsMaintain organised estimating files, registers and documentationTrack quote due dates and assist with bid schedulesCoordinate internally with production, purchasing and project teamsLearn to interpret drawings, specifications and scopes of workParticipate in handover meetings and post-project reviewsAbout YouMinimum 2 years' experience in estimating or project managementProven experience reading drawings, plans or technical documentationStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with estimating or project management software an advantageManufacturing industry experience highly regardedWell-organised with robust time management skillsA team player who is eager to learn, adapt and take on feedback and coachingWhat's on OfferSalary range of $80,000 – $120,000 depending on experiencePermanent, full time position in a secure and growing businessGenuine mentoring and career development from senior estimatorsA supportive team culture built on connection, accountability, respect and excellence
