About the jobWe are currently partnering with a Brisbane-based organisation seeking a Power BI Developer for a short-term contract focused on enhancing existing reporting and dashboard solutions.
Rather than building current data pipelines, this role is centred on improving the presentation, usability, and impact of existing Power BI reports and dashboards.
Working closely with Finance and an established Data team, you'll help refine financial and operational reporting to deliver clearer insights and better business outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesEnhance and improve existing Power BI dashboards and reportsRefine financial reporting outputs to improve clarity, usability, and stakeholder engagementTransform existing datasets into intuitive and visually effective reporting solutionsImprove dashboard design, layout, navigation, and user experienceWork closely with Finance stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and presentation needsCollaborate with the Data team to ensure reporting aligns with existing governance, security, and reporting standardsIdentify opportunities to simplify, streamline,



and standardise reporting outputsSupport the ongoing optimisation of operational and financial reporting capabilitiesExperience RequiredStrong experience developing and enhancing Power BI reports and dashboardsDemonstrated ability to improve data visualisation, dashboard design, and reporting presentationExperience working with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into effective visual outputsStrong understanding of Power BI functionality, including DAX, data modelling, and report developmentExperience manipulating and presenting existing data rather than building complex data pipelinesAbility to work independently and deliver outcomes in a rapid-paced environmentStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsPrevious experience supporting Finance teams or working within financial reporting environmentsThis opportunity would suit a Power BI qualified who enjoys improving and refining existing reporting capabilities, with a particular focus on presentation, usability, and stakeholder value rather than back-end data engineering.
