Manage and maintain beehives, ensuring the health and safety of colonies in accordance with "National best management practice for beekeeping in the Australian workplace".

Manage hive conditions, control pests and diseases especially Varroa Mite.
n
Seasonal beehive management including honey harvesting and pollination contracts.
n
Manage Queen breeding and Nuc Colonies.
n
Manage harvesting & extract honey.
n
Maintain records and report on hive performance and health.
n
n
About the Candidate
n
n
Prior experience in
beekeeping/apiculture
in a senior/head role
n
Extensive knowledge of hive management practices.
n
Ability to handle bees safely and confidently.
n
Robust physical fitness and attention to detail.
n
Experience with Varroa Management
n
Truck licence (minimum HR)
n
n
Requirements

n
5+ years commercial beekeeping experience with 2+ years in a senior/head beekeeper position
