Solid Pay Rate: Earn $38.00 – $45.00 ph (Casual) based on your hands‑on trade experience and skill level.

Duties:

- Strip down, service, and rebuild heavy locomotive components and mechanical assemblies efficiently.
- Clean, overhaul, and test mechanical parts to ensure optimal operational performance on the bench.
- Read and follow mechanical diagrams, service manuals, and workshop job sheets accurately.
- Operate hand tools, power tools,



and workshop machinery to complete heavy overhaul tasks safely.
- Maintain strict workshop safety protocols, standard procedures, and keep a clean workspace.

Skills & Experience:

- Mechanical Trade Certificate preferred, or solid hands‑on Mechanical Trades Assistant experience.
- Proven practical experience in mechanical assembly, component strip‑down, and heavy overhaul work.
- Strong mechanical aptitude; candidates with vehicle maintenance hobbies are highly regarded.
- A reliable, practical, and safety‑first attitude on the workshop floor.
- Ability to pass standard pre‑employment checks and background screening tests.
