We're seeking a practical, hands-on operator to manage a well-established outback roadhouse in the Northern Territory.

This is a genuine management role where you'll be actively involved in every aspect of the business while leading a small onsite team.

This opportunity is best suited to someone who understands the realities of remote hospitality and enjoys the variety that comes with managing a smaller operation.

The Business

The property offers licensed bar and dining facilities, accommodation, fuel, retail and convenience items, servicing tourists, commercial travellers, transport operators and the local community.
With approximately 25 accommodation rooms (motel rooms and dongas), this is a busy, multi-faceted operation requiring a manager who is comfortable moving between departments and supporting the team wherever required.

About the Role
You'll be responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the business including:

- Leading the team across all areas of the operation
- Bar, food service, accommodation and retail oversight
- Guest services and accommodation reservations
- Staff recruitment,



training and rostering
- Stock control, ordering and fuel management
- Daily banking and reconciliations
- Maintaining presentation standards throughout the property
- Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing, food safety and Workplace Health & Safety requirements
- Reporting directly to ownership

This is not a role where you'll simply supervise from a distance. You'll be expected to work alongside your team and assist wherever required.

About You
To be successful you'll ideally have:

- Previous experience managing a remote roadhouse, country hotel or similar hospitality operation
- A proven ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience managing accommodation, food & beverage and retail operations
- Current RSA
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Current manual driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Cooking or food service experience would be highly regarded
