As a Residential Care Officer, you will provide person-centred care and support to residents with their daily activities, personal care, wellbeing and community participation.
Key responsibilities
- Providing personal care and daily living support
- Assisting with showering, dressing, grooming and hygiene
- Supporting residents with meals and meal preparation
- Assisting with mobility and transfers as required
- Supporting residents to participate in social and recreational activities
- Encouraging independence, choice and community participation
- Following individual care and support plans
- Supporting residents with their routines and daily needs
- Maintaining accurate shift notes and documentation
- Reporting incidents, changes in behaviour or wellbeing appropriately
