About the Role

Looking for a local career in a hands-on trade environment? Screenwood is a leading manufacturer of premium lining products based in Kirrawee, NSW.

We are looking for an energetic, motivated Machine Operator with experience operating roll-fed or wide-format laminators to join our fast-growing manufacturing team full-time.

n

Note to Print Professionals: While we manufacture high-end timber solutions rather than paper graphics, our production line utilises the exact same lamination machinery and principles used in high-volume print shops. If you know how to manage tension, loading rolls, and heat settings on a print laminator, your skills will transfer perfectly here!

You will work directly with our factory foreman. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a practical mind and mid-level machine operation experience to join a down-to-earth team.

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Running Lamination and Slitting Processes: Reviewing production sheets, setting up machinery, loading rolls, and laminating our two main product lines.
n
- Quality Control: Monitoring film tension, adhesion, and alignment. Performing regular quality checks so every piece meets our premium architectural standards.
n
- Shop Maintenance: Keeping the machinery and workspace clean, safe, organised, and ready to roll.

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Lamination Experience:



Proven experience operating laminating and slittings machinery within a print shop, signage, or finishing environment.
n
- Mechanical Aptitude: Comfort with machine setups, basic troubleshooting, and fine-tuning equipment settings.
n
- High Energy & Fitness: This is a physical, fast-paced role handling high-volume production. You need to be fit, comfortable with repetitive tasks, and able to lift up to 20kg.
n
- Reliability & Attitude: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive attitude. You take pride in a job well done.
n
- Experience as a Print Finisher, Bindery Operator, Sign Installer, or Manufacturing Machine Operator.
n
- Any partial trade background (e.g., first-year apprentices looking for a change) or technical courses (TAFE) are highly welcomed.
n
