We are seeking a passionate, people-focused Director of Service to lead a well-established small Outside School Hours Care service in Sydney’s Inner West. Supported by a strong leadership structure, an experienced team, and a welcoming school community, this role offers the chance to make a genuine impact while building a rewarding long-term career.

About the Role As the Director of Service

You’ll be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a thriving OSHC program and creating a positive experience for children, families, school stakeholders, and educators.

This is a highly relationship-driven role, ideal for someone who thrives on building strong connections and creating positive service cultures.





You’ll be responsible for:

- Leading the daily operations of the OSHC service
- Mentoring, coaching, and developing a team of educators
- Building strong relationships with families, children, school staff, and leadership
- Maintaining a collaborative partnership with the school community and Principal
- Overseeing programming, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous improvement practices
- Managing compliance, child safety, and operational requirements
- Supporting rostering and staffing to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for children and staff

Who We’re Looking For

We’re searching for a robust communicator and natural relationship builder who is passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes for children and families.

- Completed or working towards Diploma or higher qualification in Early Learning such as Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, Diploma of Children’s Services, Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or any other ACECQA recognized qualification for Early Learning.
- An experienced OSHC Coordinator or Director seeking a new opportunity with greater career progression
- A confident 2IC, Assistant Coordinator, or Educational Leader ready to take the next step into leadership
- A people-first leader who enjoys mentoring teams and developing positive workplace culture
- Someone who thrives on stakeholder engagement and can build trusted relationships with families, schools, and internal teams

To be successful, you’ll ideally have:

- Previous experience within OSHC, School Age Care, Early Childhood, or Children’s Services
- Leadership experience or demonstrated readiness to step into a leadership role
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and relevant regulations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A passion for creating engaging experiences for children and supporting educator development
- You’ll hold (or be willing to obtain) the relevant compliance requirements for working with children, including WWCC, Child Safety certifications, Complete First Aid etc.
