Reporting to the Head Technician, the Facilities & Maintenance Planner is responsible for the planning, coordination and administration of maintenance, facilities and stores activities across the site.
Maintenance Planning & Coordination
- Develop and coordinate preventative, reactive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Manage the annual maintenance schedule, balancing operational requirements and maintenance windows.
- Coordinate maintenance works across automated warehouse systems, cranes, shuttle systems, utilities, building services and infrastructure.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors and service providers to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Support maintenance reliability initiatives to improve asset performance and reduce downtime.
CMMS & Reporting
- Administer and maintain the Ultimo CMMS system.
- Manage work orders, asset records, maintenance schedules and reporting.
- Audit maintenance records and completed work orders to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare KPI reports and provide insights into maintenance performance, spend and operational trends.
Facilities Management
- Conduct facility inspections and identify repair, refurbishment and improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate building services including electrical, plumbing, utilities, telecommunications and infrastructure works.
- Monitor facility costs, utility usage and maintenance expenditure to identify efficiencies and cost‑saving opportunities.
Inventory & Stores Management
- Manage maintenance stores and spare parts inventory.
- Receive, store and issue parts and materials while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Ensure stock levels support operational continuity and equipment reliability.
- Drive standardisation and optimisation of critical spare parts holdings.
About you
- Mechanical trade qualification or Engineering‑related tertiary qualification.
- Solid maintenance planning and scheduling experience.
- Mechanical trade background with sound technical knowledge.
- Experience using CMMS platforms (Ultimo experience highly regarded).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- High level of computer literacy, particularly in maintenance systems and reporting tools.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of maintenance cost control.
